Happy Mother's Day 2008

With Sav in our midst and soon Minnie Boy Blue it has added a fantastic dimention to our celebrations. It is true that grandchildren are God's reward for raising your own children. And what a rewad it is. Who would have guessed the pleasure, love and joy that a little person like a grandchild could bring into your life. I suppose it's the same as when you finally have your own baby and you are in awe of the instant love you have for the wonder of your baby. We are truly blessed and thankfull to have the most loving and close knit family that we have.

Picture below: Here I am with my three treasure girls. We shared a great Mother's day. We worked around Sav's schedule. E & T suggested we go to Wynum by the water. Troy baked muffins and pikelets and we enjoyed them in the park. What a gorgeous husband, father and son-in-law he is. We just love him to bits. Elise enjoying her second Mother's day with her treasure Sav and Minnie Boy Blue.

Sav painted a beautiful, colourfull and bright picture for me. It has taken pride of place and is hanging in my study which can be seen as soon as you step foot into the front door. It will always be my very favorite art piece.
Here we are sharing the yummy food, freshly cooked by Troy, and fresh fruit that Renae bought .

It really was the perfect venue for Sav. She just loves birds. When she spots birds in the air she points to them very excitedly. This park had many Ibis birds roaming around and Sav took every opportunity to try and get near to them. Picture Above: Aunty Nae bringing Sav back from a bird chase. Picture below: Sav spots another bird to chase.

It was very relaxing and enjoyable to celebrate Mother's day in this manner. It suited us all to have Savanna enjoy herself and make us laugh with all her antics.
A tender Mother's day kiss from Sav to Mummy, Ahhhhh.
Here so goes again. Another bird to catch. She doesn't really chase them. She just wants to get up close and personal.
Picture below: Sav spots another bird and there is only one thing on her mind. Run Run Run.
Aunty Nay and Sav make for for a beautiful picture.
Sav runs pretty fast and Mummy has to sprint to catch up, especially when she is determined to get that bird. Renae doesn't seem to be purturbed by the excitement behind her.
Sav has had enough of trying to stay in one spot to have her picture taken. With all this open space a girl has much running to do.
Finally, a half decent picture of the treasure girls.
Grandad look, two birds. Qiuck run.
Like two peas in a pod. Sav with Daddys' hat makes her look like Grandad. Yaee!!!
We tried all evening to replicate the photo from last year.
Elise thought it would be great to have a picture every year like this one, but it is not easy when Sav does not want to pose. She's too busy to keep still for a photo.
