Jimmy Turns 60

Elise, Troy and Renae came up with a good idea. Since Jimmy did not want a big party which we were pushing for, they decided that we would do something different. We would go on a picnic. Not original I know but different for us. We have not been on a family picnic since the girls were young ( school age young). We ended up in a lovely park in Redcliffe under a big shady tree which we decorated with streamers and balloons.
Jimmy's best friend Jimmy and his wife Genetta came along and shared the day with us. This was a little surprise that Elise had organised and that Jimmy really had not expected. See the story below about the two Jimmys. After lunch in the park we ended up at our place to cut the cake.
We will be taking Jimmy to a nice resturant in the next couple of weeks to complete the celebration. It's not every day a man turns 60.

Below, the birthday boy with his cake.
The two Jimmys went to primary school together and have always been there for each other through thick and thin. They both love the bush and like to go away together but it is a dangerous thing because they get up to mischife without being aware of it, like the time they took each others medication my mistake. Another funny event took place up in Cape York and miles from nowhere. True story. Big Jimmy was telling little Jimmy to stop the racket and go to bed. Little Jimmy said "I am in my tent trying to sleep". Another voice answered, "who is that?" Out in the middle of nowhere there happened to be another bushie called Jimmy and was wondering who knew his name out in the middle of nowhere. Must be a common name in the bush.
