Anzac Day With The Family

Here is our hero.
A well decorated Digger.
Anzac day is a wonderful commemorative day when we can thank and applaud these brave men who endured so much so that we can continue to enjoy the freedom that we all treasure today.
It is also a day to remember the ultermate scrafice that many thousands of brave men paid for with their lives and who never came home to their loved ones. We thank God that our loved one did come home, albiet a little damaged. Time has healed a lot of that damage and we are all in a far better place these days.Jimmy loves the support his family gives him especially on Anzac day. He can't wait to take Sav on a march when she is a little older and of course Minnie Boy Blue.

Sav was spooked by the fly over of the F1-11. She was fine till then. The fighter planes come out of nowhere and roar down the path of the march as a salute to the diggers.
After the march the family all came over for a Anzac day afternoon tea.

Sav gives Grandad a high five as she runs back and forth around the yard.
The whole gang gathers for the family picture.
The famous tshirt reads,
PROUD OF MY GRANDAD
A VIETNAM VETERAN
I LOVE YOU GRANDAD
Thats enough to melt any Digger's heart and this Grandad is so very proud of his little girl.Last year Sav wore a pink singlet with the same words and made it on the evening news.
