Diane the birthday girl and the baby of the clan turns. (the number on her cake)
Jimmy with his brother Greg and sisters Cathy, Jackie and Diane.
Time to tuck into the celebratory B.B.Q. lunch cooked by Bob. Just delicious.
The party was held in the entertainment area next to the pool and even though it was a very hot day we were kept comfortable by the cool breezes.
Jimmy with some of his family.
Cathy and Bob live on 13 acres of land just on the southern fringes of Brisbane. They bought the land back in the late seventies and of course this land has now become an outer suburb with all the in built necessities of a vastley populated area.
Even though it is in Brisbane, you still feel like you are way out in the bush. Picture above: the farm is all their's as far as the shed in the distance.
Below is the property dam and the surrounding paddocks.
Bob has fenced off many paddocks and has a shed in all of the paddocks. Picture below: A wallaby having a rest under the shade of a gum tree. Bob tells us that he sees around forty to fifty wallabies every evening. They seem to be a pest eating all in their way.
Bob and Cathy bulid their home when they moved onto the property. Jesse, Jade and Jack take advantage of the hot weather and go for a dip in the pool. It was the first really hot day (30%) of our summer.
