Assunta (my niece) decided that this year we would take my sisters (her Mum and Aunty) to lunch. She choose a resturant that is renound for it's desserts.

The whole lot of us that could make it considering it was a week day.
Carla with her scrumptious desert.
Assunta with her dessert.
My sisters and myself choose the Brioche dumplings served warm with white chocolate sauce and ice cream in mixed berry suace.
Rosina with her two girls Lil and Mary and only one of her four grandchildren, Carla. I know Rosina does not like to even mention her age but I am in awa that she looks so great for 75. SHHhhhhhhhhh.
Sarina was excited because one of her birthday presents was the wig that she is wearing. Eight years ago when she had her first chemotherapy it caused her to lose all of her hair. She found this more devistating than suffering the side effects that the chemo gave her. She has had countless chemo therapy treatments since then but she refuses to have certain chemos that will cause her hair to fall out. But the prolonged and ongoing use of these treatments has indeed caused her hair to thin out considerably. She is a true miracle and an insperation to go on fighting as she has done. She had her pick line removed last week and will have a new portacath inserted this Wednesday. Because she does not have much energy first thing in the mornings she hated the pick line as it took so long to have her daily showers. She had to wrap plastic around her arm and make sure that no water penitrated to the line and cause infection. She also had to go to the hospital every 3rd week to have the line cleaned out in between the three week chemo sessions. With the porta cath she will at least have one week off from attending the hospital.
