Nasty rash which came up so suddenly all over Elise's body.
This is the nasty rash that Elise had last week. Elise called us at 8.30pm in the evening of Thursday 12th Nov. She was very concerned with this rash that had appeared around her belly button and then spread outwards. It had progressed all over her body from neck to knees. She said that it was insanly itchy but was resisting the urge to scratch. She is so brave and strong to will herself not to scratch. I had thought that Troy would take her to the hospital and we would look after Savvy and Blake. Elise explained that Troy had work to do and was it alright to pick me up and come to the hospital with her. I called her back and said I would be there within 5 minutes and to be ready. Besides being diagnosed with Placenta Previa the week before it was a worring time for poor little Tic Tac and Elise.
When we arrived at the Priorty centre of the hospital, it was drugs galore. Poor Elise is normally so padantic with what she takes both while pregrant and also breast feeding that she had very little choice. Thank goodness she is so read up on what she can and cannot take. The Doctor had recomminded a catogaory three medication as he felt he had no catagory one or two in it's place to give her. She stood her ground and refused the catogary three medication and golly gosh the Doctor found a replacement drug to give her which was from the gatogory two range. She was given steroids, adrenalin, anti histomins and another medication. I lost track.
After all these drugs were administed we were to wait in the emergency area till 2.ooam. The rash had only subsided very minimally and the Doctor had decided that it would not budge unless she continued to take the steroids and anti histomins for the next few days. She tried not to take these medications but the rash stubbonly stayed where it had been and then commenced to procede down her legs and started to appear on her face.
By Sunday 15th Nov all was clear again. The horrible itch was finally gone and the redness subsided.
Grandad holding our own personal sunshines. Two of them to be precise.
Elise gave Savanna a word and Savanna finished the sentence. This made a pretty poem which Elise placed on this picture that Savvy painted.
