Afternoon Picnic By The Water

This is not your big waves and great ocean scene kind of water but it is ideal for the family outing. Just 20mins. from home and if the tide is down as it was this day it is just right for little ones to paddle in the shallow waters.

Picture below: Elise collecting shells for one of her many project to do with Savanna and Blake. While the tide is out there is much to do and places to go and splash around in.

Savann just enjoying the water and sand.

Blake just likes to take off, any direction will do. This is the beauty of this beach as there are no waves to knock the little ones around.

It is a little gritty but there are plenty of shells to collect.

Ideal conditions also bring out the sail board riders as well as the kite riders. So much activity all around.

Picture below: I Love these shots as the water glistens in the late afternoon sun. Like millions of diamonds shimmering on the surfice of the water. This little water baby sure loves to paddle around in the shallows.

Handsome Blake sure loves the water and sand. If he is not watched he eats all the sand he can get into his mouth.
As you can, it is not a beach as such. There are quite a few children's activities such as slides and swings behind where Jimmy and Sav are standing. There are quite a large amount of picnic areas to enjoy and a family resturant come store that sells for eat in or take away.
How I love those gorgeous chubby little legs.
And how about this gorgeous hansome little happy face of our Blakie. You can see the tell tale signs on the corners of his precious lips of a little residue left behind after some dirt eating episode.
Savanna enjoying a spin around by Daddy. She loves to fly through the air but this time she is skimming the surfice of the water.
Time to get cleaned up and ready for the afternoon tea picnic.
All sitting down and enjoying some muffins fruit and drinks. What a great way to enjoy an afternoon together with my Treasures.

What a perfect day at the beach. Looks like so much fun. I love that the tide was out and there weren't any waves to knock the little ones around. Makes things a little less stressful. I'm sooo looking forward to Spring and Summer this year.

Much love from NJ,

miss lucy, can i come and spend about a week with you and your family??? (lol, i wouldn't really do that to you;)
i just came from elise's flower post... and, again, was thinking how blessed you all are to have one another. i've nearly no family left to share my little family's life with...
there are still times (even after 12 years that i NEED my grandmothers; and my mom doesn't live close).
the way your family lives, loves, and laughs together is a throw-back to what i was blessed with until i was nearly 30. i miss it and miss it for katherine even more!!!
i love you all:D
dani xx(with a silly tear running down my cheek.)
